Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

All of the backlogged photos are up, but I was able to get a few winter shots this past week. Finally got some fish pictures (with the help of a minnow trap), and like all of the other critters, they were set free shortly after.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be populating the photo pages with images of Gault wildlife taken over the last two years. Then, new images will be added as new species are documented.
While we battle the water table in the excavation tent, the animals are taking advantage of the increased flow in Buttermilk Creek. There is still scarce food, due to the extended drought, but the deer are quite numerous, and appear to be much healthier than they were earlier this year. We are also having a wild pig problem, with the surface being torn up all around the tract. Our red-shouldered hawk is still hanging around, as is the great blue heron that frequents the big pond.
